Idaho’s Rawley Johnson does it again as he struck for two more paydays

Bull rider Rawley Johnson is having success that comes in waves his rookie year as he continues to climb the standings. Two paydays came his way to make the Idaho cowboy your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week for the second time in as many months.

A stop at the Adrian Newtown Rodeo Days was good to Johnson. An 83.5-point ride came after a match up with Bailey Pro Rodeo’s Sweet Emotion. It was a ride worth $1,400 before he went on to Idaho.

At the Mackay Rodeo, Johnson’s draw was Double 0 Buck of King Rodeo and Wentz Bucking Bulls. According to prorodeo.com Stock Stats, this was the bulls second ever out and Johnson put the first qualified ride on to the tune of 74 points and an eighth-place paycheck.

Johnson has $30,000 to his name in ProRodeo so far and that has him sitting No. 6 in the Resistol Rookie Race. He has also cracked the Top 50 in the PRCA World Standings just in time to hit it hard over the Summer Run.
