A Columbus, Montana cowboy is getting a taste of success in professional bareback riding. Weston Timberman comes in at 19-years-old and he is already sweeping some rodeos clean.

Timberman’s most recent success came in Winston-Salem, North Carolina when he matched up with two Three Hills Rodeo horses to best the competition at the Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo there.

His Round 1 win came to the tune of 85 points on Dirty Text while his 86-point ride on Spanish Feathers in Round 2 would be enough to split first. In total, Timberman added $4,751 to his name with these two rides.

Before Timberman headed east, he covered Pickett Pro Rodeo’s Questionable Nightlock to be 87 points, a score that won five go-rounds before him but fell just short of the money in Bracket 6 at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo.

It is early in the season but the young gun is getting an early lead on big goals as he currently sits No. 7 in the PRCA World Standings with $14,171 to his name. In the World Standings, he is currently surrounded by NFR qualifiers like Cole Franks, Garrett Shabolt and last years first ever Rookie Bareback Riding World Champion, Keenan Hayes.
