Wacey Schalla is an All-Around cowboy by way of Oklahoma and the rodeo road was good to the rookie this last week. He is your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week after making his way to the pay window in both bareback and bull riding.

At the Santa Rosa Roundup, Schalla matched up with Beutler and Son Rodeo’s Buttercup to get a piece of the money after a 78-point ride, but it was his bull ride that he cashed in on. The eight second whistle came with an 84.5-point score on Beutler and Son Rodeo’s Bracket Buster. Schalla left Vernon, Texas with $3,000 added to his earnings.

The momentum that came with the Santa Rosa Roundup win traveled right down the road with Schalla to Killeen. There, Schalla cashed in big for the second time this weekend after he drew Andrews Rodeo’s Rylee’s Raisin Cain in the bareback riding. The two put together an 84.5-point ride to be the best of Rodeo Killeen.

Schalla has cracked into the Top 30 in the world in both bareback and bull riding while sitting No. 1 in the Resistol Rookie Race for the All-Around. His is your Resistol Rookie Athlete of the Week after a swing of Texas success.
