Reno Rosser on 50 Years at the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo

Rosser Rodeo and Flying U Rodeo Company have been a part of the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo for more than 50 years. Reno Rosser says that their goal while there are to educate and entertain.

From motorcycles to Juan Carlos, a mobile sombrero, Rosser kept the California crowd entertained in the best way.

He also brought some of the best bucking stock on the road. A match up that he was looking forward to was Clayton Biglow and Cat Caller of Flying U and it turned out that the match up walked away with the win after marking 87 points.

Rosser compares Santa Maria to a polo feel with VIP set ups making for a very special feel.

“It’s very unique, I don’t know that there’s a lot of rodeos like that. It’s almost become a social event, businesses want to be seen and they want to connect with other businesses. There’s like a ten year waiting list just to get a table in these tents,” Rosser said.

It gets better every year and Rosser Rodeo and Flying U Rodeo is proud to have been a part of the Santa Maria Elks Rodeo for over 50 years.
