RECAP: Gladewater Round-Up Rodeo

The Gladewater Round-Up took place this weekend in Gladewater, Texas.

Bodee Lammers got the win in the bareback with 85 points on Rafter G Rodeo’s Dapper Dan. Kolt Dement was 83.5, Bill Tutor was 83 and Tilden Hooper rounds out the top four in the bareback riding with 82 points.

In the steer wrestling Walt Arnold topped the leaderboard with 3.3 seconds followed by Heath Thomas with a 3.6 and a four-way tie for third with Landris White, Tanner Brunner, Remey Parrot and A.D. Davis II who all were 4.0 seconds.

There was a tie in the team roping for first. Aaron Macy and Zane Bruce were 4.0 seconds and Brenton Hall and Tyler Worley were 4.0 as well. Reno Stoebner and Pace Blanchard were 4.2 seconds and Chad Masters and Joseph Harrison were fourth with a 4.6 second run.

Lefty Holman on Rafter G Rodeo’s Assault and Logan Cook on Rafter G’s Citation were both 88 points to split the win in the saddle bronc riding. Samuel Kelts was 85.5 points to be third and Jake Clark was 84 points to be fourth.

In the tie-down roping, reigning world champion Shad Mayfield got the win with a 7.5 second run. John Douch came in second with an 8.1, Tyler Milligan’s 8.4 was third and Matt Kenney was fourth 8.5 seconds.

Shelley Morgan is the barrel racing champion with a 17.13 second run. Wenda Johnson ran a 17.18, Cassidy Kruse Deen was 17.19 and Illyssa Riley was 17.24 to finish in the top four.

In the bull riding there were five qualified rides. Jeff Askey is your champion with 89 points on Rafter G Rodeo’s Chosin One. Dustin Bouquet was 87 points while Trevor Reiste was 86.5 points. To place fourth and fifth was JR Stratford’s 82.5 points ride and Toby Collins’ 78 points.
