There was no better way for rookie saddle bronc rider Qwint Stroh to kick off his 2024 season than splitting the win at the Brad Gjermundson Extreme Broncs.
His weekend started with an 83-point ride on Debt So Long of Calgary Stampede in Round 1 and it was an 84.5 on Legend Rodeo Stock’s Woodstock 99 in Round 2. His highest marked ride of the weekend came in the Finals with an 89 on J Bar J’s Shady Jacket.
“I was plum tickled to be here, this is a big event and they didn’t let me in when I entered and got lucky, there’s a couple guys that turned out so I walked up,” he said.
Stroh added over $18,000 to his name with this win to give him an early lead in both World Standings and Resistol Rookie standings for 2024.
