Quade Hiatt beats out traveling partner Shad Mayfield at Horse Heaven Round-Up

Quade Hiatt recorded the fastest time in the Short Round at the Horse Heaven Round-Up and it was just enough to win him the buckle.

Hiatt trailed his traveling partner Shad Mayfield by one second in the Average coming in, but Hiatt was 8 seconds flat and Mayfield was 9.1 on Saturday night, giving Hiatt the win by one-tenth of a second.

“It was real tight all the way through there, me and Shad are traveling buddies, so me and him first and second, that can’t get (any) better for the rig,” he said.

HIATT’S SHORT ROUND RUN

Hiatt is now No. 30 in the PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Standings after winning close to $6,000 at the Horse Heaven Round-Up.
