John Douch has been steadily climbing up in the PRCA Tie-Down Roping World Standings and this past week was no different.

The Huntsville, Texas cowboy, ranked No. 8 in the world, added over $10,000 to his earnings making him your Pyranha Timed Event Athlete of the Week for the second week in a row.

A second-place finish in Round 1 of Ellensburg Rodeo with a time of 8.8 seconds was worth over $3,200 by itself. He followed it up with an 8.4-second run in the Finals. Douch captured the Finals and the Aggregate win to bring in the other $6,800 of his winnings.

Douch is looking towards a third National Finals Rodeo qualification and has cracked the Top 10 after sitting between No. 12 and No. 14 for most of the summer.
