Shane Hanchey is no stranger to success and he had just that during the third week of August. Picking up two wins and placing at three other rodeos, Hanchey is your Pyranha Timed Event Athlete of the Week.

It was a small check that started his week with a ninth-place finish in Homedale, Idaho. From there, he was a 7.8 to finish second at the Cache County Fair and Rodeo in Logan, Utah. At the Canby Rodeo, Hanchey would pull to Go-Round checks before winning the Aggregate with a time of 16.1 on two head. This win brought in more than $7,800.

The Louisiana tie-down roper would end up third in the Aggregate with a time of 26.9 on three head after placing in the Finals with an 8.9-second run at the Caldwell Night Rodeo. This added another $5,600 to his season earnings before he found his way to the pay window for his final win of the week in Gooding. With a beer worthy time of 7.9 seconds, Hanchey split the win in Gooding, Idaho.

Hanchey currently sits No. 3 in the PRCA World Standings and is looking to qualify for his 14th consecutive NFR.
