Tie-Down Roper Luke Potter has finished inside the Top 25 in the PRCA World Standings three out of five years that he has been competing in the PRCA. At the Cheyenne Frontier Days, he cinched what could be the biggest win of his career to now sit just outside the Top 15 in the World and be your Pyranha Timed Event Athlete of the Week.
In the Timed Event Qualifier, Potter finished seventh to claim his spot in the performance. It was in Performance 6 that he would tie a 12.3 to be third before an 11.3-second run was good enough for third in the Semifinal 1.
Potter continued to speed up when he stopped the clock at 10.6 seconds in the Short Round to win Cheyenne Frontier Days by three tenths of a second.
Overall, this win added $15,700 to his 2023 season earnings but a highlight of the day for Potter was having his dad there to see it.
