Three runs in the 7-second window and reigning World Champion Caleb Smidt has moved into the Top 10 in the PRCA World Standings. A week ending with $6,450 makes the four-time World Champion your Pyranha Timed Event Athlete of the Week.
At the New Mexico State Fair and Rodeo, Smidt was a 7.7 to finish sixth and cash in $1,634 before heading to Texas. In his home state, it started with a 7.8 second run in Amarillo that was fast enough for the win and $2,331 before it ended with another 7.8 second winning run at the Cowboy Capital of the World PRCA Rodeo in Stephenville.
Smidt’s season was slower than usual and he was in need of the wins that he got, which moved him No. 13 to No. 9 in the PRCA World Standings.
This season, Smidt has 16 Go-Round Wins, more than the last two years combined.
