On Monday, the PRCA announced the total purse at California Rodeo Salinas, which will serve as the Tour Finale, will total $1 million.

The rodeo prize money will be $596,000 in addition to every cowboy getting their entry fee paid for as well as $1,500 that will not go to the World Standings.

“A payout this significant on the final weekend of the regular season will give the ProRodeo Tour Finale a playoff-type atmosphere for those in the hunt for the NFR and a PRCA World Championship,” PRCA interim CEO Tom Glause said on ProRodeo.com.
