Professional Rodeo Announcer Scott Grover Highlights Excitement to Come at North Dakota Roughrider Cup

The Roughrider Cup is back in Mandan, North Dakota.

The Roughrider Cup returns to Mandan, North Dakota the week before the Governor’s Cup to add big money to it’s champion’s pockets. The payout has the potential to burst bubbles before the end of the season.

“It is a game changer rodeo, you know, when you think about $60,000 added in each event. Chad Berger doesn’t do anything small, okay? So when he is going to have any kind of an event it’s going to be big and he wanted to give a last second opportunity for a lot of these guys to make some money,” Scott Grover said.

The results in 2024, cinched Weston Timberman and Tyler Waguespack’s National Finals Rodeo qualifications. It all comes down to the fourth quarter and the North Dakota Rough Rider Cup does exactly what it should, spurring those who think they are out, on.

“Man, I’m telling you, all eyes are on the badlands these next two weeks between here and Sioux Falls next week. It’s a rich, rich time of the year,” he said.

The Top 32 athletes in the standings of each event, plus four more invitees, make for 36 total athletes in each event, who will give it their all at the one header. The invitees include Champions from Deadwood Days of ’76, Madan Rodeo Days, Roughrider Rodeo Days, or Range Days Rodeo.

The North Dakota Roughrider Cup airs on the Cowboy Channel at 7:30 PM ET.
