Preslie Reid and Equine Partner Carlos Qualify for the Semifinals in San Antonio

Preslie Reid and Carlos notched consecutive round wins in San Antonio

San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo first-timer Preslie Reid secured back-to-back wins, gathering $6,000 in earnings and securing the top position in the Bracket 2 qualifiers.

In Round 2, Reid’s 13.87-second run secured her the lead, earning a $2,500 first-place check.

Continuing her success, Reid posted a 13.96-second run in Round 3, clinching her second Go-Round win and her third paycheck in the Bracket with assistance from her equine partner Carlos.

“There are no words, he’s just incredible and he does his job every single time,” Reid said.

Reid currently holds the No. 14 position in the WPRA Barrel Racing World Standings.

Sue Smith and Jodee Miller will be joining Reid in the Semifinals as they split the No. 2 and 3 spot in the qualifiers each with $4,000 in earnings. Smith captured the No. 1 spot in Round 1 while Miller kept it consistent throughout the Bracket.

Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi, the reigning World Champion, secured the last qualifying spot from Bracket 2 with $2,000 in earnings, aiming to maintain her momentum into the 2024 season while currently holding the 10th position in the World Standings.
