PRCA Tie-Down Roping Standings Update: Riley Webb Remains No. 1 While Caleb Smidt Moves Into Top 15

As we reach the midpoint of the Summer Run, the earnings of rodeo athletes are rapidly accumulating and the tie-down ropers are no exception.

The Top 15 cowboys have stayed consistent in their rankings with added earnings to their overall money including 2022 Resistol Rookie of Year Riley Webb as he holds the No. 1 spot.

No. 1 Riley Webb, $202,098

Riley Webb claimed the Resistol Rookie Tie-Down Roper of the Year Title in the 2022 season with $191,426 money in total. Webb carried his momentum into this season as he has already accumulated over $200,000. Webb finished out at No. 4 in the Average at the California Rodeo Salinas to take home a check for $7,784 and further secure his position at the top.

No. 4 Ty Harris, $115,304

Ty Harris holds the No. 4 position in the World Standings with his most recently win taking place in Salinas, California as he split the lead with World Champion Caleb Smidt. Harris made his way to the pay window where he picked up a check for just under $11,600.

No. 12 Caleb Smidt, $73,609

Caleb Smidt recently jumped from No. 18 to No. 12 in the Standings after securing a lucrative win at the California Rodeo Salinas. Smidt finished out in the top spot in the Final Round as well as the Average with 32.4 seconds on two head to secure a check for $10,949. With nine trips to the National Finals Rodeo under his belt and four World Titles, Smidt is no stranger to the Top 15.

No. 18 Luke Potter, $66,631

Luke Potter has made his way into the Top 20 as he now holds the Cheyenne Frontier Days Tie-Down Roping Champion Title after stopping the clock at 10.6 seconds in the Final Round. Potter claimed the third spot in Quarterfinals 6 and matched that position in the Semifinals to advance into the Short-Go. As Potter banked $13,600 in Wyoming he moved up ten spots with a total of $66,631 in earnings.
