PRCA Tie-Down Roping Standings, Aug. 24: Shane Hanchey Jumps to No. 3, Kincade Henry Moves Into Top 20

The athletes that currently reside within the Top 20 of the Tie-Down Roping World Standings are holding as they continue to grow their earnings and secure checks across the country.

Reigning Resistol Rookie, Riley Webb, has furthered his lead at No. 1 with just under $230,000 to his name and a second National Finals qualification secured.

The athletes on the bubble have yet to waiver as they fight for a spot inside the Top 15 with just 6 weeks remaining in the season and big checks up for grabs.

No. 2 Haven Meged, $170,018

World Champion Haven Meged has secured another trip to the National Finals Rodeo as he sits No. 2 in the World Standings with over $170,000 in earnings. Despite the success he has achieved already this season, Meged is still chasing a check as he cinched the No. 1 spot in the Average at the Caldwell Night Rodeo. Meged brought in $7,525 in total in Caldwell and an addition $3,919 with a second place check at the Fallon County Fair and Rodeo.

No. 3 Shane Hanchey $141,135

Shane Hanchey just jumped into the Top 3 with over $141,000 in earnings after securing a check for a total of $7,803 at the Canby Rodeo where he claimed the No. 1 spot in the Average with 16.1 seconds on two head. The Louisiana cowboy also took home the championship title at the Gooding Pro Rodeo where her stopped the clock at 7.9 seconds to cash in a check for $5,132. Hanchey is set to make his fourteenth NFR appearance in hopes of claimed a second World Title.

No. 8 Beau Cooper, $103,311

Beau Cooper has situated himself inside the Top 10 as he moved into the No. 8 spot after securing a first place Go-Round check at the Canby Rodeo. Cooper brought home $2,459 in earnings after stopping the clock at 7.5 seconds.

No. 20 Kincade Henry, $74,613

Texas cowboy Kincade Henry has moved into the Top 20 with $74,613 in total earnings. Henry secured over $6,000 in the past weeks as he pulled Go-Round checks in Baker, Moses Lake and Kalispell. Henry qualified for his first NFR in 2022 and is gunning for another chance at a World Title as he works to make his way into the Top 15.
