RodeoHouston created several new No. 1s across all events, and Team Roping was no different. On the Head side, it was JC Yeahquo who overtook the No. 1 spot thanks to a win in Houston. Yeahquo jumped from outside the top 15 to No. 1 with the $50,000 win.

Take a look at some of the biggest movers after RodeoHouston.

No. 1 JC Yeahquo, $65,674

Yeahquo has nearly matched his 2023 season earnings of $66,383 thanks to his big win at RodeoHouston. He jumped to the No. 1 spot after a time of 4.8 seconds in the Final Round. The $50,000 check not only brought his season earnings over $65,000, but it also propelled him to the No. 1 spot in the world, a position he has never held in his young career.

No. 2 Clint Summers, $55,410

Summers is coming off a career year in which he finished as the Reserve World Champion with over $283,000 earned. Summers is proving that was no fluke in 2024 as he now sits No. 2 in the world and just $10,000 back after a strong showing in Houston. Summers and his partner Jake Long placed in a tie for third in the Finals which brought his total earnings to over $11,000 at the rodeo. Summers and Long placed third on the heels of a win at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

No. 8 Jake Smith, $35,057

Jake Smith’s 2024 is shaping up to be a career year as the 30-year-old Cowboy looks to qualify for his first career NFR. A second-place finish at RodeoHouston has made the path to the NFR a bit easier. Smith and his partner Douglas Rich went 5.2 seconds in the Finals to capture second place and bring their total earnings at the rodeo to over $25,000.
