August has brough us the Xtreme Broncs Finals for the past few years and this year, it brought a big pay day for some of the top saddle bronc riders in the World.

Sage Newman’s lead in the World is still holding at around $13,000 but Stetson Wright and Zeke Thurston are chasing that No. 1 spot as both have a Gold Buckle on their minds.

As for the bubble, you have two rookies and a handful of multi-time National Finals Rodeo qualifiers hustling to make that Top 15.

No. 2 Stetson Wright, $202,609

A win came his way at the Summit County Fair and Rodeo that was worth over $3,500 before Wright went on to match up with Borderline Untimely in Canby for a third-place finish. He placed second at the next three rodeos including Fallon County Fair and rodeo, Gooding Pro Rodeo and the Xtreme Broncs Finals. In total, Wright earned over $35,000 thanks in large part to his Aggregate winnings in Rapid City.

No. 8 Ryder Wright, $120,103

Winning has been on his mind and he added five first-place paydays to his earnings recently. Starting with an 89-point ride to win the Canby Rodeo on Amazon Hills of Calgary Stampede and ending by splitting the Long Round win of the Xtreme Broncs Finals with another 89-point ride, this time on J Bar J’s Dirty Lizard. In between, it was the Caldwell Night Rodeo Long Round, Short Round and Average that added even more to Wright’s name.

No. 9 Wyatt Casper, $115,514

Making the biggest jump of the week is Texas’ Casper after a huge win in Rapid City at the Xtreme Broncs Finals. He drew Night Latch for the Long Round where he tied for the win with Ryder before matching up with J Bar J’s Straight Jacket in the Finals. There, Casper put together a 92-point ride for the event win. He left with over $30,000 added to his season earnings.

No. 15 Kolby Wanchuk, $98,401

A Go-Round win at the Caldwell Night Rodeo added more than $3,000 to Wanchuck’s season after he made an 88.5-point ride on Burch Rodeo’s Calico Color. He was an 82 on Powder River’s Double Take the be out of the money in the Finals but it was enough to land him third in the Aggregate. In total, he added over $4,500 to his season earnings at this one rodeo alone.
