PRCA Bareback Standings Update: Tim O’Connell is No. 1 While R.C. Landingham Keeps Climbing

With just two months left in the regular season, the standings are shuffling as the big summer rodeos come and go. Tim O’Connell won the Cheyenne Frontier Days while Rocker Steiner continues to impress every where he goes.

Tim O’Connell’s third Cheyenne Frontier Days win came after an 88.5-point ride and a second-place finish at the Deadwood Days of ’76 makes him the No. 1 spot in the World. Between just these two rodeos, O’Connell added over $10,000 to his earnings.

Cole Reiner has stayed consistent all season pulling checks at all the ride rodeos. He tied with O’Connell to be second at the Days of ’76 with 85 points before he went on to Mitchell, Nebraska where the first ever Champions Challenge was held. An 84-point ride earned the Wyoming cowboy another check to keep him No. 2 in the World.

Jess Pope is out with an injury and has been bumped to No. 3 in the World. There is no doubt he will come back and make big moves at the National Finals Rodeo.

Rocker Steiner is having an unbelievable rookie year. He is the No. 4 cowboy in the World. Coming off of a big win at the Calgary Stampede, Steiner moved on to place at the Days of ’76 before matching up with Virgil to go 92 points in Helena, Montana and drawing Colorado Bulldog to be second in Mitchell, Nebraska.

California cowboy R.C. Landingham is your No. 5 bareback rider in the World. He added over $5,000 to his season earnings after making it through the rounds at Cheyenne Frontier Days and finishing second in the Final Round with 87.5 points.

Tristan Martin’s success in the northwest continues as he takes home the title in Hermiston, Oregon with a time of 7.0 on two head.
Saddle bronc rider Wade Sundell finally drew Womanizer and he made the eight seconds count. He got the win in Sikeston, Missouri.
Wyatt Denny started off the final performance of the Sikeston Jaycee Bootheel Rodeo with a bang on Saturday night.

Jennifer Kalafatic took the round in Thursday’s performance and entered the top three overall at the Farm-City Pro Rodeo after stopping the clock at 17.26 seconds.
Braden Richardson took the lead in Hermiston after an 88.5-point ride on Corey and Lange Rodeo’s new bull Gold Rush.
Trey Holston had a rematch with a Cervi bull that put him on top of the leaderboard after night No. 2 in Sikeston.
Mary Brooks and her horse, Bandit, stop the clock and change the leader board in Missouri last night and she caught up with Katy Lucas.
Team ropers Coy Rahlmann and Douglas Rich drew a steer they knew they could win it on and they went straight to the lead of Round 2, and the rodeo, in Missouri.
Riley Duval is giving it his all the last few weeks of the season and in Sikeston, he will be adding to his season earnings. He currently leads the two head average.
