The PRCA Bareback Riding World Standings are tightening up as the 2025 season gets closer to the heat of the summer run. Young guns, Bradlee Miller, Rocker Steiner, and Dean Thompson are leading the pack, with seasoned veterans staying close behind.
Here is a breakdown of the current Top 15:
No. 1— Bradlee Miller $119,986
The 22-year-old, from Huntsville, Texas, has built a strong $30,000 lead in the PRCA world standings. His standout season includes a career-best 92-point ride at the Cinch Chute Out in San Angelo aboard J Bar J’s ‘Straight Stick’.
Miller picked up major paydays at RodeoHouston and San Antonio early in the season, cementing his spot at the top of the standings thus far.
Coming off an outstanding first NFR, where he placed in eight go-rounds and won three, Miller has carried that momentum into 2025 as he sets his sights on his first gold buckle.
No. 2— Rocker Steiner $88,591
Steiner continues to prove he’s one of the most electrifying talents in rodeo. His 91-point ride at RodeoHouston brought in a $65,000 payday and kicked off a strong season.
Most recently, Steiner picked up a win in Fallon, Nevada, becoming the first two-time champion at the Battle Born Broncs and earning a $7,924 payday.
No. 3— Dean Thompson $80,257
The reigning World Champion is still riding like he’s got something to prove. His most recent win at the Cinch World’s Toughest Rodeo in Charlottesville, where he scored 87 points on Penthouse Pro Rodeo’s Brazos, is the latest example of the consistency he’s displayed all season long.
No. 4— Jess Pope $59,911
2022 World Champion and three-time NFR Average Champion, Jess Pope, is looking strong this season. He picked up two wins in the past week, starting with a back-to-back title in Guymon, Oklahoma, after a 90.5-point ride. He capped it off with another win in Kansas City, scoring 88 points, bringing in a $6,452 payday over the weekend.
No. 5— Nick Pelke $59,724
After a major win at the Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo, Nick Pelke is less than $200 behind World Champion Jess Pope. Strong finishes in Fallon, NV, and Red Bluff, CA, have him positioned well, and he is hoping to make his first National Finals this December.
No. 6— Cole Franks $58,360
Frank’s has been steady all season, placing at nearly every rodeo he goes to. He picked up a win in Logandale, NV, splitting the top spot with Tilden Hooper after a strong 86.5-point ride on Macza Pro Rodeo’s ‘Grit Your Teeth’, which came with a $6,788 payday.
No. 7— Garrett Shadbolt $57,927
Shadbolt is staying consistent, grabbing a second-place finish in Watford City at the Extreme Bares and Broncs. He was 88.5 points on Fettig Pro Rodeo’s ‘Hot Money’ in the long round, then followed it up with an 87.5-point ride on Burch Pro Rodeo’s Bunk House Money in the finals.
No. 8— Mason Clements $55,575
Mason Clements turned in solid performances throughout the Texas Swing, landing him comfortably inside the top 10. He finished second at both RodeoAustin and Fort Worth, and added a fifth-place finish at RodeoHouston to round out a strong early-season run.
No. 9— Clay Jorgenson $52,711
Clay Jorgenson recently made a strong showing at the Cinch Chute Out in San Angelo, Texas, where he posted an 88-point ride to advance to the finals. He followed it up with an impressive 89.5-point ride, finishing second behind world standings leader Bradlee Miller.
No. 10—Jayco Roper $51,810
Jayco Roper punched his ticket into the top 10 with a big win in Red Bluff, California, where he delivered a 90-point ride on Rosser Rodeo’s ‘Right On Q’.
No. 11— Sam Petersen $50,992
Montana’s Sam Petersen has kept things rolling after a $20,000 payday at RodeoHouston. He recently picked up another win, sharing the bareback title in Lakeside, CA, with co-champion Kashton Ford.
No. 12— R.C. Landingham $50,587
R.C. Landingham has been on a roll in California, picking up wins in Bakersfield, Thermal, Springville, Sonyford, and a third place in Red Bluff over the last month. The veteran bareback rider is heating up at the right time to try to qualify for his 6th NFR.
No. 13— Waylon Bourgeois $48,888
The Louisiana cowboy had a strong second-place finish in San Angelo, where he was 89 points on ‘Night Flight’ from Pickett Pro Rodeo and took home over $6,600.
No. 14— Sage Allen $45,388
Sage Allen has had a standout run during the Texas Swing, racking up two major wins as a part of the 2025 Rookie Class.
He took the bareback title at the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo with a 90-point ride in the finals. Allen followed that up with another win in San Angelo, posting an 89-point ride to advance to the finals, then an 89.5-point ride on Pete Carr’s Worth the Whiskey to claim the top spot.
No. 15— Tanner Aus $44,444
Eight-time NFR qualifier Tanner Aus rounds out the Top 15 in the World Standings. His standout performance at Rodeo Austin, where he earned over $15,000, helped move him up the rankings.
