On April 17, steer wrestler Matt Reeves lost his beloved horse Rattle, the reigning PRCA | AQHA Steer Wrestling Horse of the Year, who suffered an unexplained stomach rupture and passed away at just 8 years old

Reeves, who just took the title at RFD-TV’s The American with Rattle in March, wrote on Facebook: “I don’t understand why she needed to go or what God’s plan is. It has been a very hard two days. Rattle has done so much for myself and many others. I don’t think I will ever get over this loss. We were a team and loved each other. I am so very thankful for the time I got to spend with this great little mare!”
