Your 2023 PRCA Bull of the Year came from no other than the 15-time PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year Nominee Pete Carr Pro Rodeo and he goes by Bayou Bengal.
How Bayou Bengal came to be on Carr’s trailer is simple: he bid for him on the internet.
“Well they just put him on there and you can bid on them, it’s pretty easy and self explanatory, it’s simple for guys like me. Hit the button, you keep hitting the button, Billy said don’t, I kept hitting it and we ended up with the bull,” Carr said.
The six-year-old bull has now been to the National Finals Rodeo three times and only covered twice. When it came time to bid, Carr wasn’t the only one with his eye on Bayou Bengal. Cullen Pickett, of Pickett Pro Rodeo, and his wife gave it their best shot and fell short to call Bayou Bengal theirs.
The bull became Carr’s first Bull of the Year and with the 2024 season underway, he will be gunning for a repeat.
