PBR analyst Matt West breaks down Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic

Dalton Kasel, the 2019 Rookie of the Year, won the Wrangler Long Live Cowboys Classic in Sacramento. It was his second career Unleash The Beast Tour win.

Kasel was 3-for-3 for an aggregate score of 270.75 points. He and Chase Dougherty were the only competitors to win all three and after the event, Kasel told PBR analyst Matt West that this might be the first time he’s been truly healthy in his career.

“This is a guy a lot of people thought would be a World Title contender and I certainly think he has the talent to do it,” West said. “I’m expecting big, big things out of Dalton Kasel the rest of the season.”

Kasel is currently No. 16 in the PBR World Standings.

West also highlighted Dougherty’s performance because after this past weekend in Sacramento, the 2018 NFR Average winner is now No. 1 in the PBR Rookie of the Year race. All three of Dougherty’s rides were 87 points or better.

West also discussed Cooper Davis’ trip on Pookie Holler and Mason Taylor’s trip on I’m Busted.
