Paige Lawrence Champion on How To Get a Mental Edge in Rodeo

Paige Lawrence Champion competed in figure skating at the 2014 Olympics and since then she has retired from the sport and shifted her focus to helping rodeo athletes with their mindset as a performance coach.

Her list of clients includes Luke Branquinho, Hailey Kinsel and Tim O’Connell to name a few. She says these athletes are the type of people that want to leave no stone unturned in their career.

“Mindset is really quite a nuanced art, I think so little things like the power of your self talk, the thoughts that you’re having all day long, they’re either contributing to your success or they’re distracting you,” Lawrence Champion said.

Other topics in Lawrence Champion’s course include how to break old habits and not be too self-critical as well as the difference between stress and pressure.
