The race to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo is on and we’re watching closely to see who makes it into the top 15 in the world. There are still about six weeks of rodeos left and a few bull riders are on the bubble, it is still anyone’s game to be in the top 15.
Jordan Hansen has been to the NFR twice already and he’s hunting for his third, he is $2200 out of the No. 15 spot.
The No. 18 cowboy in the world is Brady Portenier. He had a big win in Spanish Fork, Utah and he got a couple good checks from rodeos in Wyoming but he still needs a little bit more to make it to his second NFR.
Jeff Askey will be pushing these next few weeks to move up from the No. 19 spot in the world. He has the talent and as Amy Wilson said “I am betting he’s not doubting himself.”
JC Mortensen is sitting at the No. 20 spot despite a few big wins he’s had this year. He won St. Paul, Oregon and Oakley City, Utah, and he got a little piece of the money from Cheyenne Frontier Days. He’s still close enough if he can collect a few more checks we just might see him in Las Vegas.
