Omaha River City Rodeo: Recap, Highlights and Payouts

BY BRETT NIERENGARTEN @PRORODEOBRETT

The Omaha River City Rodeo may prove to be crucial in the race for the NFR as two roughstock cowboys on the bubble took home more than $3,000 for their wins.

Bareback rider Ty Breuer has a bit more breathing room after riding for 83 points to win the event. He entered No. 15 in the PRCA World Standings. The bubble was the theme of the bareback riding as the cowboys that finished second and third were Wyatt Denny (No. 16) and Garrett Shadbolt (No. 14).

In saddle bronc riding, Sterling Crawley moved inside the NFR cutline by winning the rodeo with an 83-point ride of his own. He placed at total of four rodeos on the weekend to leapfrog No. 15 Tanner Butner.

In total, the one-head rodeo paid out more than $78,000 in total. Other winners included Laramie Warren in steer wrestling, Will Howell in tie-down roping, Ethan Griffin/JW Beck in team roping, Lacinda Rose in barrel racing and Trevor Kastner in bull riding.
