The Ogden Pioneer Days paid out more money in 2022 than any of the 88 years prior in its Hall of Fame history. The greatest beneficiaries of that increase in prize money were obviously the champions of the rodeo, who all won between $5,000 and $8,000.

Bareback riding was split between 2021 NFR qualifiers Cole Franks and R.C. Landingham both were 85.5 points, and both are in the Top 5 of this year’s World Standings.

There was also a shared title in the steer wrestling as Cody Devers and Stetson Jorgensen were both 7.8 seconds on two.

Team roping was won by Jaxson Tucker/Wyatt Cox who edged out Top 15 pairing Jeff Flenniken/Jake Minor by one tenth, 9.9 seconds to 10 flat.

It was a leaderboard full of decorated cowboys in the saddle bronc riding and it was won by Kade Bruno and Logan Cook. In second, was World No. 1 Sage Newman, fourth went to 2021 RNCFR Champion Jake Finlay and fifth was split between 2022 Calgary Stampede Champion Logan Hay and two-time World Champion Zeke Thurston.

Tie-down roping offered yet another shared championship. Jake Pratt and Bo Pickett were both 17.7 seconds on two and Pickett won the rodeo despite not taking home day money in either round.

Barrel racing was just one go and there were two cowgirls faster than 17 seconds - reigning World Champion Jordan Briggs and reigning Calgary Stampede Champion Kassie Mowry. Briggs stopped the clock at 16.96 to beat out Mowry by two-hundredths of a second.

In bull riding, Trevor Reiste was 89.5 points in the first performance on July 20 and it held up through July 25 to get him the win.
