No. 3 Tie-Down Roper Quade Hiatt Is Up In San Antonio

The No. 3 Tie-Down Roper in the World, Quade Hiatt, is calf roping in San Antonio in Bracket 1.

He is competing on a horse that he has had since high school. Hiatt got the horse his sophomore year in high school and this horse carried him through college. After a crippling injury that happened two years ago, Hiatt’s team of veterinarians have his equine partner sound and ready to rodeo.

This will be Hiatt’s first time roping in San Antonio and he will get to do it on the horse that he has had plenty of success on before.

“It’s awesome, it’s huge, it’s a great venue. It looks great to rope some calves in,” Hiatt said on AT&T Center.

Hiatt hails from a long family line of successful rodeo athletes and he is writing his name in the history books right along side theirs.

In Round 1, Hiatt was a 9.9 and he will rope again tonight in Round 2.
