No. 14 Ranked Julie Plourde Eyes First Trip to the National Finals Rodeo

Quebec, Canada’s Julie Plourde has been making waves in the WPRA this season, putting together a standout 2025 campaign.

This year alone she picked up the win at the The War Bonnet Round Up, the Eugene Pro Rodeo, and the Santa Rosa Roundup to name a few, to rack up $117,736 so far and find herself in the No. 14 spot in the world standings.

Like every cowgirl on the bubble, Plourde has her sights set on the National Finals Rodeo. With Sioux Falls’ Governor’s Cup offering one of the largest payouts of the season, this weekend is shaping up to be a make or break moment. She’ll be riding her standout horse, Rocky, and plans to leave it all in the arena as she chases her NFR dream.

When the dust settles, Plourde hopes to have secured her place inside the top 15—and a ticket to Las Vegas.
