After an exciting first five rounds of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Round Six delivered just as much action, setting the pace for the remainder of the 2025 NFR. Here is your Round Six recap, presented by Mahindra.

Team ropers Tanner Tomlinson and Travis Graves set the tone—and a new Round Six record—with an electrifying 3.4-second run, just one-tenth off the arena record. The duo, who have each earned $92,798.60 so far at the Thomas & Mack Center, turned in the fastest time of the week to extend Tomlinson’s lead in the heading world title race and move Graves to a close second in the heeling standings.

Currently, Jade Corkill holds the lead in the heeling world title race. He and partner Clint Summers remain the only team to rope all six steers so far, giving them control of the coveted average race.

Cajun bareback rider Kade Sonnier took home his first go-round buckle aboard Sankey Pro Rodeo & Phenom Genetics’ Land of Fancy, marking 88.0 points for the $36,668 payday and a trip to the buckle ceremony.

Ty Erickson continues to position himself firmly in the world championship conversation, winning the Round Six steer wrestling title with a sharp 3.5-second run. Erickson, currently $44,602 behind season-long leader Will Lummus, will look to capitalize on his strong average position as steer wrestlers head into Round Seven.

Tucker Allen also remains a major factor in the steer wrestling world title race. He leads the average with a commanding 28.5 seconds on six head.

In saddle bronc riding, Statler Wright carried on his family’s storied legacy with the Round Six win, celebrated later at the South Point Hotel and Casino Buckle Ceremony. Wright marked 90 points aboard Wayne Vold Rodeo’s Renegade in a tightly contested round, narrowly edging Kade Bruno’s 89.0-point ride on Frontier Rodeo’s Frontier Medicine.

With a thrilling 6.8-second run, Texas tie-down roper Joel Harris earned the Round Six buckle and a strong paycheck, boosting him to fourth in the world standings with $251,396 earned so far this season.

Reigning world champion barrel racer Kassie Mowry strengthened her title defense with a standout 13.42-second performance aboard her mount, Cornbread, to take the Round Six victory. The win moved Mowry ahead in the average and extended her lead in the world standings by $24,000.

Continuing his historic NFR run, Stetson Wright claimed the bull riding title in Round Six with an 88.5-point ride on Stockyards Pro Rodeo’s amasestays.com Insurrection. The victory pushed Wright’s NFR earnings to $267,212.
