After an action-packed six rounds of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Round Seven delivered just as much excitement, setting the tone for the remainder of the 2025 NFR. Here is your Round Seven recap, presented by Mahindra.

Tie-down roper Joel Harris propelled himself to third in the world standings after a sharp 7.5-second run to win Round Seven—his second consecutive go-round victory following a 6.8-second performance in Round Six. With each go-round paying $36,668, Harris has pocketed $147,209 so far in Las Vegas. His hot streak also places him third in the Top Gun Award race, which recognizes the athlete who earns the most money in any single event at the Wrangler NFR.

World Champion Bareback Rider Jess Pope capitalized on his veteran experience to claim the Round Seven title aboard Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Foxhole Gunner with an 88-point ride. The win also positions him second in the average race, trailing aggregate leader Wacey Schalla.

In headline-worthy news, Schalla made history by becoming the youngest PRCA athlete to surpass the $1 million career-earnings mark. He currently leads the Top Gun race with $150,166 earned in the bareback riding alone.

Idaho bull rider T.J. Gray rose to the top of Round Seven with a commanding 90.5-point ride on McCoy Rodeo’s Blue Duck. With all aggregate and world-title contenders bucked off before the eight-second whistle, Round Eight is shaping up to be pivotal as the title race remains highly contentious.

Steer wrestler Rowdy Parrott earned a trip to the South Point Hotel and Casino after a strong 4.0-second run to secure the go-round victory and its $36,667 payday. Tucker Allen continued to build momentum, collecting another $28,980 to strengthen his lead in the aggregate race. He now sits just $28,573 behind world standings leader Will Lummus.

Canadian brothers Dawson and Dillon Graham found victory once again at their first NFR, taking the team roping title in Round Seven with a slick 3.5-second run. Clint Summers and Jade Corkill also delivered a clean run to maintain their average lead as the only team to rope all seven steers.

Barrel racer Hayle Gibson-Stillwell beamed with excitement as she claimed her first go-round buckle with a thrilling 13.45-second run.
