After an exciting first three rounds of the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo, Round Four delivered just as much action. Here is your Round Four recap, presented by Mahindra.
In front of a roaring crowd of more than 17,000 of rodeo’s most passionate fans, barrel racer Tricia Aldridge and her standout stallion Adios Pantalones lit up the Thomas & Mack Center with a blazing 13.42-second run to capture the Round Four win. Competing in her first NFR, Aldridge continues to build on a historic season with the stallion known as “Adios,” who holds the all-time barrel racing stallion earnings record. Their first NFR round win adds yet another milestone to their expansive résumé.
Wacey Schalla made his first trip of the 2025 NFR to the South Point Hotel and Casino’s Gold Buckle Ceremony after a standout bareback riding win. He teamed up with Beutler & Son Rodeo’s No Whiskey’s Redlicious Meats for an 87.5-point ride, earning the coveted go-round champion paycheck of $36,668. Schalla now leads the NFR average with 346.25 points on four rides. The Oklahoma cowboy continues to climb the world standings as well, now sitting fourth with $242,510 earned in 2025.
In steer wrestling, the world title race remains one of the tightest of the 2025 NFR. Less than $47,000 separates the top three athletes—Will Lummus, Tucker Allen, and Ty Erickson—each of whom has claimed at least one go-round win this week. Round Four mirrored the standings battle, with Lummus and Allen sharing the victory after identical 4.0-second runs. As the NFR approaches the halfway point, Lummus remains in the driver’s seat atop the world standings.
Team roping also saw a split go-round win, shared between reigning world champions Tyler Wade and Wesley Thorp and the duo of Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord, each stopping the clock in 3.8 seconds. After a string of no-times earlier in the week, Wade and Thorp look to use their midweek victory as momentum entering the back half of the NFR.
Consistency will be key in the lucrative and world-title-defining average race. Only three teams have caught all four steers: Andrew Ward and Jake Long; Clint Summers and Jade Corkill; and Derrick Begay and Colter Todd. With the aggregate title still wide open, stopping the clock is more important than ever.
The infamous saddle bronc riding “eliminator pen” took center stage in Round Four, with Stetson Wright putting on a highlight-reel ride aboard Calgary Stampede’s Freedom Xpress. His 88.5-point ride secured another trip to the Gold Buckle Ceremony and added to his impressive $221,081 in NFR earnings so far.
In tie-down roping, Shad Mayfield officially moved into the lead in the world standings after a crucial second-place Round Four finish, worth $28,980. The reigning world champion, Riley Webb, now trails narrowly as ropers head into the second half of the week. Mayfield currently holds the distinction of most money won in a single event at the 2025 NFR, with $120,200 banked in Las Vegas.
Round Four’s tie-down roping win belonged to Kincade Henry, who took home the coveted go-round buckle with a 7.1-second run.
The round closed with a standout performance by rookie bull rider Bryce Jensen, who claimed his first NFR round win with an 87.5-point ride on Barnes PRCA Rodeo’s Purple Wave’s Karaoke Nights. One of four Resistol rookies vying for Bull Riding Rookie of the Year honors, Jensen now sits ninth in the world and third among rookies.
