NFR Round 4 is right around the corner and World Title races are beginning to take form. From Riley Webb extending his lead to Saddle Bronc Riding tightening up, we will cover it all in today’s NFR Round 4 Notebook.

Riley Webb goes 6.9 Seconds to get first NFR Round win and extend lead in standings. Webb had to top Cory Solomon who stopped the clock at 7.0 seconds and did so by .1 seconds with a 6.9 second run. The win won Webb the round and increased his lead over No. 2 Haven Meged by $20,000 in the World Standings. Webb has now earned over $36,000 at this year’s NFR.

Keenan Hayes places second behind Mason Clements' 88.5-point ride. Hayes got off to a slow start in his first two NFR Rounds but earned a nice payday in Round 3. He split second with Cole Reiner to earn over $21,000. Mason Clements took the round and now is tied for the lead in the average with seven rounds to go.

Saddle Bronc Riding has had a new No. 1 after each round at the NFR. Sage Newman is the new No. 1 in the Saddle Bronc World Standings after winning Round 3 with an 89-point ride. Newman leads No. 2 Kade Bruno by $12,000 and 2022 World Champ Zeke Thurston by $15,000. Kade placed fourth in last night’s performance while Zeke failed to visit the pay window.

Lisa Lockhart added to her career NFR earnings with a 13.51-second run last night. Lockhart posted the fastest time of the rodeo thus far and took the round to make over $30,000. Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi continued to do her job and keep all barrels standing. She has three clean rounds and placed fourth last night. Her lead is safe as long as she avoids knocking a barrel.

Ky Hamilton inches closer to Stetson Wright in Bull Riding. Hamilton continued to dominate Bull Riding as he is now the only cowboy to go three-for-three. Last night he placed second with an 87.5 point ride to earn over $27,000 after ground money. Hamilton is now just $29,000 behind Steton Wright for first place. Creek Young posted the highest marked ride of the rodeo across all events with an 89.5-point ride to win the round.

Coleman Proctor and Logan Medlin finally get on the board. It was a rough first two rounds for the pair but they go 3.7 seconds in last night’s performance to get the round win. The route to a Gold Buckle will likely be through round money as the pair is almost certainly out of the average race.
