World Champion header Erich Rogers and his young heeling partner Paden Bray continue to prove they are one of the best team roping partnerships in the world.

The pair won the NFR Average in December with an aggregate time of 80.20 seconds on 10 head. They were the only team with a qualified time in all 10 rounds in Globe Life Field and inside AT&T Stadium, they stayed consistent.

Rogers/Bray won both the eight-team Short Round and the four-team Shootout Round at The American Rodeo. In the Short Round, they were 5.17 seconds and in the Shootout, they stopped the clock at 5.05.

“This buckle here is pretty sweet,” Rogers, who admitted he was nervous being out last, said.

“My job’s pretty easy back there and I sure enjoy it,” Bray added. “This is such a great rodeo and I am just super thankful.”

With $50,000 of their $100,000 apiece going to the PRCA World Standings, both men are now No. 1 in the world. Rogers has $60,282 and about $34,000 in hand on second-place Dustin Eguisquiza on the head side. On the heel side, Bray’s $60,282 is $29,000 clear of Wesley Thorp.
