Nelson Wyatt and Justin Davis make quite the team roping duo as they make their fastest run of the rodeo and get their second go-round win at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo. The clock stopped at 3.6 seconds in Round 3 to bring their total earnings to $7,000 and secure their spot in the Semifinals.
“The steer we had was kind of the one everybody wanted. So when you know you’ve got a really good steer like that you want to make sure you capitalize on it,” said Davis.
Wyatt went on to say when the steer is that good, it is hard not to be that fast. Not only was this 3.6-second run their fastest time, it was also the fastest time of the entire San Antonio Rodeo this far.
Wyatt and Davis are the No. 1 team moving on from this bracket and joining them in the Semifinals will be Joshua Torress, Caleb Hendrix, Erich Rogers, Paul Eaves, Jake Orman and Brye Crites.
