Nellie Miller came to the Pro Rodeo Tour Finale only $29 out of the No. 15 spot in the world, when she left Salinas, California she was sitting No. 8 in the world and is headed to Las Vegas this December.
Miller was a 16.42 in the first round of the barrel racing and a 16.03 to win the second round and make the fastest run of the rodeo. It was a 16.29 that got her a spot in the chute out round. Miller went on to win the final round with a solid 16.15 second run.
“She really does good when she can get rolling to that first barrel and get a lot of momentum built up,” Miller says about her horse sister, who loved the set up in Salinas.
Miller took home over $17,000 and will be making her fifth trip to the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo this winter.
