Bracket Four has rolled around and we are almost half way through the pools of the National Western Stock Show and Rodeo.
It is the battle of young guns in the bareback riding in this pool. Last year’s top rookies are now veterans, Waylon Bourgeois and Rocker Steiner are sure to always put on a show. Steiner is the reigning champion of the National Western and all eyes will be waiting to see if he does it again.

In the steer wrestling Trell Etbauer is among the ten cowboys out. After ending his 2022 season ranked No. 16 in the World and two no times last year at this rodeo, he will be on the hunt for redemption and an early start to his 2023 season.

We will see another new pair in the team roping. This time, multi-time National Finals Rodeo qualifiers Brenton Hall and Paden Bray have teamed up while a familiar team we will see out is Luke Brown and Hunter Koch. Brown and Koch were right outside the Top 15 in 2022 and a win from Denver would give them a spike in motivation going into the winter run.

It is more rookies turned veterans out in the saddle bronc riding with Damian Brennan and Cash Wilson coming up. Brennan’s matchups are Big Rafter Rodeo’s Cheap Sunglasses and Bailey Pro Rodeo’s Kenmare Honker while Wilson will go toe-to-toe with Bailey Pro Rodeo’s Silent Assassin and Target.

Last year’s runner up, Michael Otero, will be out in this bracket. His fastest time of 2022 came in Round Two of his bracket with a 7.5-second run. Haven Meged finished sixth in 2022 and he will also be gunning for that championship title.

Bracket Four brings us loaded roster in the barrel racing as well. Kylee Scribner was a force to reckoned with in 2021 while Carlee Otero and Andrea Busby consistently stop the clock to end up in the money. But you can never count out Sarah Waguespack and Shali Lord. This pool will be a tight race.
