National Finals Rodeo 2023: Round 9 Daysheet

There are only two rounds to go from Las Vegas as Round 9 kicks off at 8:45 PM ET/5:45 PM PT on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.

BAREBACK RIDING

Tanner Aus will go toe-to-toe with Painted Smoke, the horse that Leighton Berry won Round 4 on, while Jess Pope will climb on Blessed Assurance to continue his race for a fourth Average title.

STEER WRESTLING

Round 8 winner Bridger Anderson kicks things off Friday night in the bulldogging, but the crucial stretch comes near the bottom of the order - Tyler Waguespack, Jesse Brown and Dalton Massey.

TEAM ROPING

Tyler Wade/Wesley Thorp look to continue their run for a Gold Buckle after tying the World Record with a 3.3-second run. Andrew Ward/Buddy Hawkins are the current Projected World Champions with Wade/Thorp both sitting second.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Brody Cress has climbed to No. 2 in the Average and his Round 9 matchup is a rematch with Pete Carr Pro Rodeo’s Toma Jo, a horse he has found the pay window on before.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Just like in the bulldogging, the Round 8 winner leads us off. Hunter Herrin will be the first roper out.

BARREL RACING

World No. 1 Brittany Pozzi Tonozzi is at the bottom of the ground while 2021 World Champion Jordon Briggs will look to make it another fast horse race like Thursday night.

BULL RIDING

Ky Hamilton matches up with a Generations Pro Rodeo bull for the first time tonight while Jordan Hansen will be looking for a third Go-Round check on a bull that was only covered once this season.
