National Finals Rodeo 2023: Round 2 Daysheet

Round 2 of 2023 NFR begins at 8:45 PM ET/5:45 PM PT only on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy Channel+.

BAREBACK RIDING

After winning Round 1 on Friday, Rocker Steiner has drawn Sankey Pro Rodeo’s Mustard, a horse that produced multiple 43+ point stock scores this season. Cole Rener kicking things off on Nutrena’s Black Kat is also a matchup to watch.

STEER WRESTLING

Nick Guy, who won Round 1 in 2022, will start off the bulldogging and North Dakota cowboy Bridger Anderson will finish it. World No. 1 Dalton Massey extended his lead with a 3.5-second run on Friday.

TEAM ROPING

A 4.2 from Clint Summers/Jake Long was the winning time, but Jake Clay/Tyler Worley were right behind them at 4.3. They will be out last tonight.

SADDLE BRONC RIDING

Stetson Wright’s buckoff yesterday opened the door wide for Kade Bruno and Zeke Thurston won shared the Go-Round win and moved to No. 1 and No. 3 in the World respectively. Wright has Big Rafter Rodeo’s Wild Valley tonight.

TIE-DOWN ROPING

Round 1 winner John Douch will start things off in the tie-down roping after a 7.7 to take his first victory lap inside the Thomas & Mack Friday.

BARREL RACING

A total of seven barrel racers hit a barrel last night, more than any round in 2022. Emily Beisel was one of them, but she has a chance to get right and take advantage of the top of the ground. Look out for a horse change for her.

BULL RIDING

Once again, it was a Stetson Wright buckoff that was the story. This time, it was Ky Hamilton and Josh Frost, who entered the NFR No. 2 and 3 who benefited by finishing No. 1 and No. 2 in the First Round.
