Most Memorable Moments: Cody Hancock goes from 15th to 1st at 2000 Wrangler NFR

Cody Hancock entered the 2000 Wrangler NFR in 15th place, but wasted no time getting to work.

He won Round 1 with a 93-point ride and earned another round win the next night with a 90-point ride.

Hancock put the World Championship within his grasp when he won Round 7 with a 92-point ride and the by the time it was all said and, the gold buckle was his. He was the first roughstock cowboy to show up in Vegas in 15th and leave with a World Championship.

The next year, he shattered the NFR record with a 96-point ride. That record still stands today.
