Breakaway roper Macy Young advances to the Semifinals in Houston with three consecutive Go-Round wins

Macy Young has taken over the title as the Montana Silversmiths WPRA Athlete of the Week after her impressive performance in Super Series 4 at RodeoHouston. Young swept the competition to take home three consecutive Go-Round wins.

In Round 1, Young had a time of 2.9 seconds, claiming her first Go-Round check of the rodeo. She continued her success in the Second Round with a time of 2.8 seconds, adding an $3,000 more to her earnings.

Round No. 3 was Young’s most noteworthy run as she stopped the clock in 2.2 seconds, securing her final check of the Super Series.

Young’s consistent performance throughout Super Series 4 earned her a total of $9,000 and secured her spot as the leader in the semifinal qualifiers. She entered RodeoHouston No. 68 in the WPRA World Standings, but will likely be in the Top 20 in the World by the rodeo’s end.

Advancing alongside Young out of Super Series 4 is Tiffany Schieck and Willow Wilson as they tied for second place with $3,000 each and Sawyer Gilbert who follows in at fourth place with $2,750.
