Mitch Pollock and Rafter G’s Cisco Kid Get High Score of Rodeo Austin’s Third Performance

Mitch Pollock went into the No. 2 position on the leaderboard at Rodeo Austin when made a 83.5 point ride during Monday night’s performance. He was on Rafter G Rodeo’s Cisco Kid when he moved into second even though Cisco Kid did not make it easy.

“You really have to lift on you rein and set your feet, setting your feet takes away all that power when he’s dropping out of there. So I just tried to stick to the basics, keep my shoulders behind my hips and lift on my rein,” Pollock said about the bronc.

Pollock’s rig has four cowboys in it, traveling across the country to try and win rodeos with the end goal to make the National Finals Rodeo.

“It’s great, I’m helping them, teaching them how to enter rodeos and stuff like that and they keep me feeling young so it’s always good,” Pollock said about his travel partners.

There are some tough competitors coming up in the next eight performances but right now, Pollock’s 83.5 has him safe to come back in the No. 2 spot.
