Meet the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of “The Summer Without Rodeo”

Professional rodeo has taken several hits over the last couple of months. Multiple of the most prestigious events of the year have been canceled amid the COVID19 outbreak. John Branch, a Pulitzer Prize-winning author, recently published an article in the New York Times titled “The Summer Without Rodeos.” You may know him as the author of “The Last Cowboys: A Pioneer Family in the New West,” a book about the Wright Family’s success as ranchers and rodeo athletes.

John joined us on Western Sports Round-Up to talk about what inspired him to write this article for the Times, how he became passionate about rodeo, what he learned from his research for this piece, and more. Watch the video above!
