In 2020, Luke Potter was the Resistol Rookie of the Year in the tie-down roping.
The tiny town the 20-year-old calls home has just over a dozen homes and one church.
The bigger population in Kansas’ Southern Flint Hills, is cattle. Luke Potter is a third-generation roper and cattle rancher who grew up with strong desire to the best.
He said his father started taking him to steer ropings at a young age and he “ate it up.”
