Meet Bayleigh Choate: A Rookie To Watch

Bayleigh Choate is currently sitting in the No. 1 spot for the 2022 Resistol Rookie Barrel Racing Standings.

Her horse, Boozer, is only 5-years-old and is a great fit for this rookie cowgirl.

“We learn together, we learn to adapt and overcome, we learn how to get through different situations and set ups,” she said.

Mental toughness is something Choate has had to learn, as well as adapting to the ever-changing life of rodeo.

This team has competed in some of the biggest rodeos of the year such as Austin, Fort Worth, and San Angelo, as well as the BBR where Boozer was chosen for the Better Barrel Races Futurity Horse of the Year. With these large accomplishments this team continues to make a name for themselves.

Bayleigh and Boozer will be competing in the Cowboy Channel Rookie Roundup presented by Resistol this upcoming weekend at the Cowtown Coliseum. You can watch it only on The Cowboy Channel and The Cowboy Channel+.
