Matt Reeves jumped back to No. 1 and first-time qualifier Jace Melvin added an NFR Go-Round win to his resume as both men stopped the clock at 3.9 seconds to share the winner’s circle in Round Five.
“I’ve been struggling so far, made some good runs, but tonight I had a very good steer,” Melvin said. “All the emotions I could ever put together, it was all out tonight.”

Reeves, who has not won a Go-Round since 2013, took a $9,000 lead in the world standings over Jacob Talley. Reeves is also sixth in the average.
“You want to win first every night,” he said. “I’m pumped to win a round. It’s been a long time.”

The average leader is Stetson Jorgensen, who has not won a Go-Round yet, but has placed in three. He is 23.30 seconds on 5 head. Bridger Anderson and Jacob Edler are both right behind in the average race as they are tied at 23.50 on 5.
