Mason Clements battled his way to the Triple Crown Round at Rodeo Corpus Christi and when the dust settled, he was your champion after an 87-point ride.
This was a rematch for Clements, and his goal was to finish strong and show the judges that he was in control of this horse the entire ride. He did just that to get the win and become Triple Crown Eligible with a chance at a $1 million bonus.
“I’m looking forward to that. When they came out with the million dollar bonus I really set my sights to go get that and tried to keep RC away from it last year. But I’m excited to have the No. 1 here and have two more opportunities at it,” Clements said.
The Rodeo Corpus Christi win means Clements is one third of the way closer to that bonus and his next stop is Rodeo Carolina.
