Martha Angelone’s week at Cowtown Coliseum was one for the books. The three-time Women’s Rodeo World Championship qualifier worked her way to the Showdown Round where she went up against Britta Strain and Jenna Dallyn.
Angelone and Strain battled all week long. In the Triple Crown Round, both ladies stopped the clock at 2.04 seconds to an electric crowd. The tie-breaker was Angelone’s Showdown Round time of 2.05 securing her the Championship.

She says her goal in the Triple Crown Round was to get out and throw as fast as she could and she did just that.
“I had no idea what to do, I had no idea what to think, I had no idea what was about to happen right that,” she said.
This was a big win for Angelone and her fellow breakaway ropers were in her corner the entire time, when the clock struck 2.04 they were in the arena congratulating the newest Women’s Rodeo World Champion.
