Maddy Deerman Capitalizes on Her Opportunity and Wins the NFR Open

Maddy Deerman fought her way to the four-man round with a tough group of breakaway ropers. Her fastest time came in Round 2 when she was a 2.6 but what mattered was her finish in the four-man. A clean 3.0-second run made Deerman your NFR Open Champion.

“I really think I’m the luckiest girl in the world to have an opportunity like this and to able to rope at this stage when I don’t rodeo a whole lot over the summer. It’s just life changing for me especially while I’m pursuing my masters and working this summer,” Deerman said.

This win added over $14,000 to Deerman’s name, made her National Champion and secured her spot to rope at the Cinch Playoffs in Puyallup, Washington.
