The first team out on Night No. 1 of Rodeo Austin Playoffs Semifinals was National Finals team ropers Luke Brown and Hunter Koch. The duo stopped the clock at 4.7 seconds and remained on the top of the leaderboard through the remaining seven teams.
“I messed up really bad on our first one so to get to come back over here for another chance and draw a different steer with a clean slate, it’s a good deal,” said header Luke Brown.
For Koch, roping with a veteran like Brown has taught him so much that he will use for the rest of his career. If you ask him, Brown made his job easy.
Brown and Koch lead the way with two performances to go, they hope a 4.8 stays in the Top 8.
